Hazlitt's Hotel comprises of three Georgian houses built in 1718 and is situated in Soho, the heart of London's West End. It provides a home from home for visitors looking for somewhere quiet, discreet and very, very English. The 23 light and airy bedrooms are perfectly proportioned and furnished with antique furniture. The beds are 18th and 19th Century with four posters and half testers. Most of the bedrooms have free standing claw footed baths, whilst others have showers with heads as big as dinner plates, marble washstands, Victorian pull chain cisterns and tiled floors. The hotel has undergone a major restoration programme, revealing, Georgian panelling nearly three hundred years old. None of the early residents could have dreamt of creature comforts such as air conditioning, high speed internet access, 24 hour room service, satellite television, hot and cold running water or Egyptian cotton sheets. But then history is always more interesting when it has been cleaned up a bit.
