Ceramics in the City Sep 21 2007
For three days September 21st – 23rd Geffrye
Museum, London, hosts “Ceramics in the City”, a selling fair, this year held for
the sixth time. The exhibition offers a good choice of works created by 45
talented ceramists. Those are not only decorative objects, like vases and
knickknacks, but also domestic articles including tableware and lamps. Organised
in cooperation with ceramicist Karen Bunting, this exhibition presents a variety
of techniques and styles. The list of exhibitors includes: Miyoko Onishi, Akiko
Hirai, Anna Perring, Linda Bloomfield, Irena Sibrijns and others. In addition to
buying beautiful exhibits, visitors can talk to the artists and watch
demonstrations. There is also a choice of craft activities organised for your
children. Admission is free. Visiting hours are: 12.00 - 20.00 (Friday 21
September), 10.00 – 17.00 (Saturday) and 12.00 - 17.00 (Sunday).
