Photomonth East London Photography Festival

Photomonth is a large-scale East London Photography
Festival which invites visitors to more than 80 exhibitions at 50 galleries around the
East London. The festival features all kinds of photography events, from
major exhibitions to photo tours for smaller groups. The list of galleries is
extensive, but some of them are: the Magnum Print Room, Barbican Art Gallery, Four
Corners, Gestalt Centre, Shed-and-a-half and many others. The beginning of the
festival is marked with a Photo-Open exhibition at the Art Pavilion (Mile End
Park), which welcomes every photographer and filmmaker, from young to
experienced ones. There are also talks, walks and seminars organised, like
Seamus Ryan’s Sunday Shoots, Photography Workshops with Nigel Wilson, Seminar:
Say It As It Is, Ara’s Sojourn Live Performance and much more. The exhibitions
are opened 2nd October – 28th November 2007.
