The Frieze Art Fair Oct 11 2007
While Origin fair greets visitors with creative designer things,
there is another fair taking place in London 11 – 14 October. As its name says,
The Frieze Art Fair is focused on more traditional types of creativity. The fair
hosts about 150 contemporary galleries from different world countries, including
ACME from Los Angeles, Air de Paris, Marianne Boesky Gallery from New York, Taka
Ishii Gallery (Tokyo), Jablonka Galerie (Berlin) and many others. There are
works by almost 100 artists represented, all for sale. This annual event also
features daily talks, film demonstrations (this year there are four short films
presented), music performances and family workshops. If you don’t know what to
start with, take a tour in a company of professional guide, who will give you an
insight into the background of the displayed artworks. The fair is organised at
Regent’s Park.
