International Halloween Festival Oct 20 2007
One of the most known and probably merriest holidays celebrated this
season is Halloween. To mark the occasion, Queen Mary’s College organizes an
annual International Halloween Festival, celebrated for the 11th time
this year. This is the largest European festival of the kind – no wonder why it
gathers people from all around the globe. The choice of activities promises lots
of fun, with performances by various rock and folk bands, craft market, lectures
providing information on the history of the holiday and pagan culture, workshops
and a funny Halloween ritual called “Ways to kill with Norse Magic!” Specialty
of the show is a life performance by Torn Asunder (on Sunday), who will also
take part in Witchfest, Croydon next month. And, finally, you can spend your
time drinking ale in a spooky atmosphere of the Cobweb Café. The festival takes
place 20th and 21st of October.
