Regent Street Christmas Lights Nov 20 2007
November is the time when London brightens up with Christmas Lights, the
most known and traditional of which are the lights at Regent Street. Since 1954
these lights help create the true atmosphere of Christmas, that is why people
from all around the country arrive to observe the spectacular view. In 2007
Regent Street will be illuminated with Christmas lights on 20 November at 6 pm,
but visitors are advised to arrive in advance since the place is usually crowded
during the day. Also this year is marked with the launch of a new Nokia
shop - the company took part in the project. New 3D lights will impress visitors
not only thanks to their design, but also thanks to their operation system. For
instance, the lights are programmed to respond to weather conditions like wind
and sunlight, and the number of visitors. Also note that the area will be closed
off to traffic.
