Christmas carols at the Ham House Dec 9 2007
Christmas is just the time to listen to traditional Christmas carol
concerts, performed at various venues around London. The concerts you are
strongly advised to visit take place at the Great Hall of the Ham House – a
wonderful 17-century Stuart mansion. Thanks to its historic past and wonderful
location on the banks of the Thames, the atmosphere of the building will add to
your festive mood. There are afternoon and evening concerts performed on three
dates: December 9th visit a concert by the Kingston University Choir,
December 15th you will be entertained by Mary Mogil and the Leon
Singers, and 16th December you can hear the tunes of Musica Divina
directed by Simon Desbrulais. You can choose either afternoon concerts, oriented
at families with children (your kids will surely get presents) or later concerts
called “Timeless Carols”, accompanied by a revelry at the Ham House Orangery.
