Liz Craft exhibition in Alison Jacques Gallery

2 June 2006 Alison Jacques Gallery opens an exhibition of Liz Craft. Works of Californian Artist Liz Craft were a lot inspired by the place where she lived – Californian landscapes, attitude to living, Los Angeles special atmosphere – all this is reflected in the art of Liz. Liz Craft was born in Los Angeles (1970) and still lives and works there. In 1997 she received her MFA from the University of California, Los Angeles. She often takes part in group exhibitions, such as “Small World: Dioramas in Contemporary Art” Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (1998); “Mise En Scene: New LA Sculpture”, Santa Monica Museum of Art (2000); “The Americans-New Art”, Barbican Gallery, London (2001); “It’s all an illusion”, Migros Museuem fur Gengenartskunst, Zurich (2004); and the Whitney Biennale, New York (2004). Her solo exhibitions were carried out in Centrum fur Gegenwartskunst Oberosterreich, Linz, Austria. Now she presents her new collection of sculptures, primarily of cast and painted bronze in London. Alison Jacques Gallery is open Tuesday -Saturday from 10am to 6pm. Liz Craft will las till 1st July, 2006.
