Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2006 Jul 3 2006
The week from 3 to 9 July 2006 Hampton Court Palace houses world’s largest annual flower show. This event attracts more than 700 exhibitors and illustrates the best in horticulture during high summer. Visitors can buy various plants – from new varieties to old, and the finest gardening gifts and accessories from hundreds of stalls. Floral art, fruit and vegetables, plant heritage and floristry are also on show. Festival of Roses is the largest annual gathering of roses in full bloom. Every year there are several new roses including the Rose of the Year presented. During the show some challenging garden centres and other professional organizations will create some stimulating solutions for awkward areas in a new show feature, Inspiring Spaces. Unique category to the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, Water Gardens, reflects the event’s beautiful location beside the River Thames. The water gardens can be found on the north side of the famous Long Water Canal running across the showground. ‘Conceptual Gardens’ will challenge design students to push the boundaries of garden design and express a high level of innovation and creativity to surprise visitors at the show.
