"Miami Vice" London Film Premiere Jul 27 2006
Thursday, the 27th July 2006 is the day of an interesting cinema premiere in London. This day "Miami Vice" directed by Michael Mann is released. In distant 1980s everybody knew the names of the detectives Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs. The actors Don Johnson (Crockett) and Philip Michael Thomas (Tubbs) became stars and the soap opera about these Miami policemen and their struggle against drug dealers of both Americas went through several tele-seasons. This year detectives Crockett and Tubbs are back, but these time on a wide screen. Now their roles are performed by new generation of Hollywood stars – Colin Farrell as Sonny Crockett and Jamie Foxx as Ricardo Tubbs. They are on a peak of their fame now that promises "Miami Vice" new edition a success, but we’ll see it after the first distribution weekend. Michael Mann, a director was a producer and a director of some series of the previous "Miami Vice". He knows his characters very well and believes that their new adventures will be as interesting to audience as the past. A premiere show will take place on Leicester Square.
